The Guarantee Commission is the ad hoc body through which the School takes the initiative of recognising one of its members as a psychoanalyst who has proved himself, by awarding him or her the title of AMS (Analyst Member of the School). Each School designates the members of the Guarantee Commission when it has its own Guarantee Commission.
In fact, each School may have its own Guarantee Commission (ECF, EOL, EBP). Since the 3rd congress in Brussels in 2002, the WAP has been composed of two sub-sets, the WAP-America and the WAP-Europe.
This innovation also implies a modification with regards to the guarantee procedure; the Councils and General Assemblies of the different Schools have approved the formation of two commissions whose function is equally regionalised: the WAP-America Guarantee Commission and the WAP-Europe Guarantee Commission.
