Buenos Aires, January 3, 1992 – I would like to make a special announcement. The teaching of Jacques Lacan, Lacan’s teaching, has as its objective, in our world, the reconquest of the Freudian Field, that is to say that we believe that the proper path of psychoanalysis has been lost, that psychoanalysis has strayed from its Freudian destination and that thanks to Lacan, to his work, to his teaching, thanks to our work, we now have the possibility of rectifying and re-establishing in the world, the practice of psychoanalysis and its theory on its proper path.

As of this evening, there are four Schools in the Foundation of the Freudian Field. With this evening’s founding act, there is an international analytic movement of the Lacanian Orientation, which has the weight to confront the deviate orientation of psychoanalysis. There is no reason to wait another minute before taking the next step.

I am delighted, here in Buenos Aires, to declare my intention to promote, as quickly as possible, the creation of the World Association of Psychoanalysis.

This will provide Lacan’s teaching with the institutional instruments which will allow psychoanalysis to re-find Freud’s path.

Thank you very much.
